On my first adventure trip, which was to Peru in 2006, I was traveling with a backpack. Fully packed, it weighed just under 8 kilos. By the time I went to Mali in Senegal in September 2010, I had decided to switch over to wheeled luggage so I bought an Eagle Creek wheeled duffle that I still use to day. I love that suitcase!  Considering how many countries I have dragged that thing through, it has last incredibly well.

My first trip to India and Nepal was back in 2007.  I had signed up for a 10 day overland tour of Tibet.  The starting point was Kathmandu, Nepal.  In researching flight options to Kathmandu, I came across flights leaving from Delhi.  That got me thinking that I could tack on a few days at the front end of my trip to visit Delhi and of course, Agra.  I also added a couple of days to Kathmandu so I could explore the city both ahead and after the tour.

I woke up feeling very sad today 😢.  Why?  Because today's our last day in Uruguay.  Tomorrow, we travel back to Buenos Aires via the Buquebus Ferry.  We have a few hours to kill, in the city, before we have to leave for the airport hotel.  My flight home leaves at midnight and Bro's shortly thereafter.  So hard to believe that our wonderful trip is coming to an end.  For now I didn't really want to dwell on all that.  We still have one more day to enjoy and we were going to make the most of it.

After spending yesterday outside the city - we went to Colonia del Sacramento, we opted to hang back in town today.  When it comes to trip planning, I typically leave it up to my travel partners to decide on what they want to see or do when we are in the main cities.  I usually have some suggestions to get the thoughts going but today, I was a complete blank slate.
