If you haven't figured out by now, I might as well go ahead and tell you that I'm going to Peru. My itinerary will take me to see the historical sites in and around Lima, canoe down and stay overnight alongside the Madre del Dios river to see the amazing flora and fauna (e.g., the Hoatzin) of the Amazon rainforest, trek (on both foot and horseback) through the Andes to see the Incan monuments strewn throughout -- including Sacsayhuamán, Ollantaytambo, and the world famous Machu Picchu......and last, but not least, make my way to the high plains desert to view Nazcan and Paracas monuments, the infamous Chauchilla mummies and to marvel at the Nazca lines from a Cessna!!
My trip begins in two days and I can't wait!!
