onight I met my tour guide and fellow tour mates.Our guide is Jenny Chen. She told us she took her name from the main female character in Forest Gump – her favorite movie. She looks like she’s barely out of her teens but I think she’s in her 20’s.
Madeline and Trevor who are from New Zealand. They’re both in their 70’s.
Robbie and Jackie who are from Ireland. I’m guessing they’re in their 20’s.
Dean from Canada. Manitoba I think.
Bernd from Germany. He told us we could call him Ben if we couldn't pronounce his name. I think I can manage.
Mairead whom I will be sharing a room with is from Ireland. I'm not sure how to pronounce her name....will have to ask her to repeat it when we get to our room.

My tour mates are very diverse group of travelers and I am sure I will get to know them all better in the coming days. This should be a lot of fun. I can’t wait to get going!!
Jenny gave us the tour intro and then took us to a nearby restaurant for dinner. The Chinese foodie in me is so happy to be here…..I will leave this country very fat and very happy. :-)
